Trail Types

Flow Trails

Flow trails are designed for high-speed, rhythmic riding. They feature wide berms, rollers, and smooth lines that carry momentum naturally. Flow trails are generally more beginner-friendly and are great for getting into the sport or dialling in technique at speed.

Tech Trails

Tech trails follow natural terrain and offer varied features: rocks, roots, steep sections, and demanding lines. They reward precise line choice, balance, and control. Tech trails are best suited to more experienced riders seeking challenge on the mountain's terms.

The most common reasons for closing the Gondola are strong wind, storms, or thunderstorms. The Gondola is never closed for cost-saving reasons. The crew operating the Gondola are on duty all day, even if the lift does not run for a single minute.

Courses last two to three hours depending on the course. For example, the Get to know the bike park course lasts two hours, and the Ylläs Pro X course three hours.
